Advent Entertainment has had the pleasure of providing our services for several big Za Ga Zig Shriner events in 2024 including the charitable ball and fundraiser in April 2024. As a nonprofit organization, Shriners Hospitals for Children relies on the generous donations of Shriners, corporations and the general public to carry out their mission and improve the lives of children every day. On Saturday, October 4th, 2014, Advent Entertainment had the distinct privilege of providing our services for an event supported by the Marriott Rewards "Year of Surprises" campaign. This particular event was to celebrate a middle school student named Carson that was diagnosed with Leukemia. His family started a non-profit called "Kids' Living Brave" in which they deliver care packages to families with children diagnosed with cancer in the greater Des Moines area. This young man has also utilized his experiences to help other children cope.
One of the activities he missed during his treatment was the end of school year 5th grade party. So someone nominated him as they thought it would be wonderful to recreate that day with an end of treatment party with all of his 5th grade classmates from his school, teachers, family and friends. We were so honored to be a part of such a wonderful event.

Advent Entertainment recently had the honor of providing services for a great charitable event, the 2014 Bras for the Cause at the Prairie Meadows Event Center in Altoona on Saturday, November 8th. Charitable funds from this event are used to subsidize mammograms and cervical screenings for Iowa residents who could not otherwise afford them and to support related programs and projects. This was our 4th straight year volunteering our services for this wonderful event.

Advent Entertainment volunteered their time, talent, and equipment to the 2012 Combat Hunger fundraiser held November 2012. It is the mission of Combat Hunger to increase community awareness of Iowa's critical hunger problem, and through that awareness, activate and facilitate community-wide involvement in a massive food and fund drive in support of the Food Bank of Iowa. The objective of this drive is to provide enough food to feed hungry Iowans during the most severe weeks of winter.
All donations directly benefit Food Bank of Iowa, celebrating their 30th year of service to Iowa. In their twenty year history, STAR 102.5's Combat Hunger has raised over 1.5 million pounds of food. All of those donations stay right here in Iowa.
It was a joy to be involved with such a great cause, for the 2nd consecutive year, that supports so many people and families in need this holiday season.
